How's About We Signal Our Friends?

In the midst of a DailyKos post about Senator Feingold's announcement to seek censure of Bush was this little bit about Senator Frist's response:
Senator Frist who also appeared on This Week threw a restrained hissy hit and pledged that Feingold's motion would never reach the full Senate. He also added the ubiquitous treason insinuiation by claiming Feingold's motion sends a "terrible, terrible signal" to our enemies.

We've all heard this 'terrible signal to our enemies' argument many times before. But what about the signal that the failure to censure (or impeach) Little Lord Pontchartrain sends to our allies? We need our allies-and their voting publics-to support us. Right now, most of our traditional allies think we have completely lost our minds. Censuring Bush would 'send a signal' to our allies that some modicum of sanity has returned to this republic.

Our enemies will oppose us, no matter what we say or do: that's why they're called enemies. But we need our friends back. Censuring Bush would help.

God knows there isn't justification enough to censure Bush on the spying issue.

I just can't see Feingold getting any support for his resolution from Senate Dems. Not even those who supported him voting against PATRIOT Act renewal (precious few).

I'm pretty sure he'll be distinctly unpopular amongst his fellow Dems beyond the warhawk tendency for cracks like the following, however true they may be:

If Congress does not censure the President, we will be tacitly condoning his actions, and undermining both the separation of powers and the rule of law.

Those cowardly and bootlicking Dems need to secure their front-end spots in The Great American Traitor Conga Line. The Repubs are in front already, for cryin' out loud!
